National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27th

On Saturday, October 27th, RALI Illinois and its partners are recognizing National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. It's a chance to get involved and help end the opioid crisis.

Residents can bring unused medications to designated 'take back' locations across the state where officials will properly dispose of them. You can visit takebackday.dea.gov to find a site near you.

If you live in Cook County, visit www.cookcountymeds.org for a list of sites in your area.

Safely disposing of medicines in your home can help save lives because many people who become addicted to opioids start by misusing prescription medications.
